Welcome to Hard Materials. Our focus is introducing our tamariki to the world of design and craft. Tamariki adapt a design brief while keeping their stakeholders in mind. Tamariki learn to use tried and tested tools such as coping saws, hacksaws, scroll saws, files, drill press, battery drills, hammers and punches. They use these tools on a range of materials such as mdf board, recycled native timber, acrylics and new or recycled pewter.
